Startup Strategy Review
Founder-facing strategy diligence workflow with recipient-safe and private deliverables.
startup-strategy-review turns founder answers, decks/models/sites, evidence text, runner-local paths, and URLs into a sendable strategy package.
Use it when a founder or adviser needs a candid decision brief, not a generic startup score. The workflow separates recipient-safe output from private adviser notes, keeps inferred claims labeled as inference, filters funding routes against eligibility, and pauses after diagnostic synthesis for direction approval before producing final artifacts.
Intake
The workflow expects enough deterministic input to avoid a doomed run. Required areas are company identity, stage, geographies, desired decision, audience, founder roles/commitment/equity/vesting/IP, personal and company runway, incorporation/domicile, traction, buyer and user hypotheses, fundraising goal/timeline, known or excluded programmes, evidence, language, and sensitive private facts.
Use unknown only when a fact is genuinely unavailable. Use an empty sensitive-facts array when there are no private items.
Approval Gate
After evidence extraction and specialist lanes, the workflow pauses at a Smithers direction approval. The approval card summarizes:
- what the workflow thinks the company is
- the three strategic tensions
- the recommended thesis
- unresolved questions
- intended deliverables
- sensitive/private items
The gate is durable and safe to leave paused. Completed research nodes are upstream of the approval, so resume continues to final production rather than repeating research.
Artifacts
Final output uses stable artifact names:
startup-strategy-review-memo.mdstartup-strategy-review-memo.pdfstartup-strategy-review-cover-message.mdstartup-strategy-review-private-adviser-brief.mdstartup-strategy-review-structured.jsonstartup-strategy-review-qa.json
The Markdown/PDF memo and cover message are recipient-safe. Founder politics, sensitive facts, and adviser-only questions live in the private brief and private sections of the structured JSON.
